Creative Teaching at MLA Highlighted at WVU School of Education

MLA's Spanish and Music teacher was honored to be invited to speak at the WVU School of Education regarding the creative use of music in enhancing academics.  The students were very enthusiastic and provided positive feedback:  “It was nice to hear about a private school in the area that has individualized plans for their students. It's amazing that the teachers and kids can incorporate their interests so well into the curriculum. Having teachers from MLA talk to future teachers is a great way to connect their ideas to WVU and even the community…”

Melissa Sherfinski, Assistant Professor of Elementary & Early Childhood Education, said, “What a privilege for my WVU Creative Experiences class that Jen was willing to share her teaching experiences and talents integrating music and intellectually rich academics. WVU students got some great ideas to adapt and try out in the future.”

MLA is grateful for the opportunity to share experiences with the WVU School of Education.
